We at Wheatland Funeral Home Ltd. believe that every life lived deserves the utmost respect and care.
We also believe that each funeral should be a celebration of a life lived. The death of a loved one has a huge impact on each of us, but only for the reason that their life has made a much larger impact on each of us. It is because of this fact we believe in the value of celebrating a life after death, which is called a funeral service.
Our funeral directors will competently carry out any wishes you may have in order to celebrate the life of your loved one in the manner you find most appropriate, whether this is done as a traditional service or a memorial service. A traditional service is where the deceased is present in a casket at the funeral service, with burial or cremation to follow. A memorial service is when the burial or cremation takes place before the funeral service (the deceased may be present in an urn if cremation is chosen). In some cases, a direct disposition (immediate cremation or burial) without a formal funeral service may be more applicable. Regardless of the type of service, we will always attempt to provide and arrange for all of your needs, wishes, and requirements in a manner which reflects the unique life of your loved one.
As required, our 130 person, wheelchair accessible chapel is available for your use. We also have several seven-passenger minivans and a funeral coach available for any transportation requirements you may have.
Some of the products we can provide include caskets, outer burial containers, urns, urn vaults, monuments and a variety of funeral stationery, such as register books, memorial folders, and thank-you cards. We can also produce and provide DVD video recordings of the funeral service as well as create custom, personalized DVD slide show presentations.
Additionally, we are able to assist with funeral related responsibilities such as purchasing cemetery plots, placing newspaper notices, catering, and completing any necessary government forms.
The above is a brief overview of the various products and services we offer. If you have any particular request that is not encompassed in the above descriptions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
